Here are the usage tips for the use of the equipment.
Treatment mode
The APS Therapy device has two options for treatment.
![]() Continuous |
|
This mode is used for most treatments. The signal is continuously delivered to the body during the 8 minutes.
|
![]() Pulsating |
The pulsating mode can be used when the continuous mode does not give the desired result. During this setting the signal output is alternated with a short rest period, which feels like a pulsating treatment. This pulsating mode is extra effective with:

Rules of thumb
APS Therapy is a pleasant and painless treatment!
During treatment we turn the control knob until we feel a slight stimulus / tingling somewhere. Then we turn the knob back by about half to two-thirds.
Treating too low is unlikely. Over treatment can cause over treatment. This is not bad or dangerous but can cause a feeling of muscle pain.
You can not do something wrong but better!
Treatments are generally based on the signal passing through the affected area. The maxim is black as close as possible to the pain area and red towards the body. In some cases this can be waived if it should have more results. There is not necessarily only one treatment schedule for a certain condition. When in doubt, please contact us.
How much and how often?
In most models an automatic timer is built in for 8 minutes. Most treatments therefore last 8 minutes per session. The maximum treatment duration per day for all treatments is 32 minutes. Sometimes people notice that treatment of, for example, 16 minutes is more pleasant. You do not have to complete the 32 minutes. That 32 minutes is a maximum, no mandatory treatment time!
You can use the APS Therapy device safely every day. We often see that people over time maintain the body with for example one or two treatments a week. Then try to feel for yourself what is most pleasant.
Drinking water
The treatment with APS releases waste. Make sure that you drink enough water to drain these waste materials through the urine. 1½ liters per day is recommended. This is practically easy to achieve by ensuring that water is ready for use.
Maintenance
If the APS Therapy device stops functioning, the battery may have run out of power. Then insert a new battery of the same type and the same voltage. This may be either rechargeable or non-rechargeable.
Also make sure that the device (internal and external) does not get wet and do not expose it to extreme temperatures.
the usage tips for the use of the electrodes now follow.
Wich electrodes
The electrodes form an important part of the APS Therapy treatment. The treatment is highly dependent on the contact with the skin. Because APS Therapy uses direct current, most electrodes are not suitable for APS Therapy. The UltraStim X Blue from Axelgaard has been released for use with APS Therapy and is therefore safe to use.
Unsuitable electrodes can acidify and cause irritation.
Connect
The electrodes can be connected to the cables supplied with the APS Therapy device by means of the connectors attached to the electrodes..
Use
The electrodes are provided with a self-adhesive gel. Therefore, do not use a liquid contact gel. This deteriorates the adhesive strength of the electrodes and shortens the service life.
Storage
Use the original bags for storing the electrodes. These bags protect the electrodes from drying out and absorb temperature fluctuations. Do not store the electrodes in the refrigerator, but simply at room temperature.
Maintenance
The electrodes do not require maintenance. When the electrodes become a bit older and thinner and stick less, the signal transmission and thus the effect of the treatment will significantly decrease. These electrodes then have to be replaced by electrodes of the type described above.
the usage tips for the use of the earclips now follow..
Connect
The ear clips can be connected to the cord supplied with the APS Therapy device using the connectors attached to the earclips.
Use
The ear clips are equipped with felt pads. They should be wet with water, otherwise they will not conduct the APS signal. Then place the ear clips on the earlobes. The maximum recommended treatment position is 0.05. There are then 2 ports in use. The remaining ports of the APS Therapy device remain unused.
Storage
After use, dry the pads by gently squeezing them out with a towel or tissue between the felt pads.
Maintenance
If the felts of the ear clips get dirty, new felt pads can be ordered. You can carefully remove the old felt pads from the ear clips and then attach new felt pads.
the usage tips for the use of the applicator now follow.
Connect
The applicator can be connected to one of the black cables supplied with the APS Therapy device by means of the connector at the back.
Use
The applicator is equipped with a metal head and a plastic handle. The back of the applicator can be connected to one of the black cables. To complete the circuit, at least 1 red electrode must also be applied to the body. Usually 2 red electrodes are used.
Always use contact gel with the applicator to ensure proper guidance of the applicator.
Storage
Clean the applicator after use.
Maintenance
Besides cleaning after use the applicator requires no further maintenance.
the usage tips for the use of the sponge electrodes now follow.
Connect
The sponge electrodes can be connected to the cord supplied with the APS Therapy device by means of the connectors attached to the electrodes.
Use
The sponge electrodes are used in treatments with water. Use 1 or 2 sponge electrodes, preferably connect them to the black cords of the APS Therapy device. Then apply 1 or 2 adhesive electrode (s), connected to the red connectors, to the body. Put about a teaspoon of salt in the water and then put the sponge electrode (s) in the water. Enter the water with the body parts to be treated and ensure that the self-adhesive electrodes do not make direct contact with the water.
Storage
Dry the sponge electrodes after use by gently squeezing them and then allowing them to dry.
Maintenance
Apart from allowing the sponge electrodes to dry after use, they need no further maintenance.
